Eco Friendly Displays vs. Synthetic Displays

Maintaining ecological balance while advertising is a noble cause and many companies today are walking this path with the help of planet-friendly signage. Also known as ‘green-signage’, these displays include advertisement banners and signs made out of eco-friendly materials like wood, canvas and bamboo and using less harmful colors in them.

Eco friendly displays have many advantages and are therefore are much preferred by advertisers worldwide. Because of their planet friendly nature, several governments allow special concessions to advertisers who use these products. Using these displays can significantly increase the reputation and prestige of the company using them and therefore enhance its image, gaining more admirers and more business.

Every year, there are several thousand tons of plastic and synthetic materials being produced for the purpose of producing signage. People generally prefer shiny and durable signage, not realizing that their thirst for beautification leads to tons of investment and the introduction of many pollutants into the environment. The materials used in signs have almost no use after their expiry and cause both land and water pollution. Even the paint used in such displays contain harmful chemicals containing heavy metals like Lead and Mercury which can cause severe damage to plant and animal life. Mercury is known to be a very poisonous substance in nature and has both long and short term effects on the health and of humans and other organisms. Moreover, if they mix with a water source, these substances can even annihilate many lives together.

The primary aim of a signage is to inform people, supposedly for their betterment; then why use materials that are harmful to those people and cause the opposite of that? Environment friendly displays are a much safer option and indicate that the business actually cares about its customers, at the same time, they cause no harm to their surroundings, are cost-effective and aesthetically pleasing.

Signage companies also understand that companies would not advertise only for the sake of planet-friendliness and low costs of an eco-friendly display. Hence, they have come up with beautiful and stylish variations of these signs to be used in a variety of ways.  They are made to be lustrous, durable and yet involve less toxic chemicals, giving their synthetic cousins a stiff competition.

Take the example of eco friendly pop up displays for instance, such a display has a very modern and aesthetic look and can be used in numerous occasions ranging from fairs, exhibitions, seminars shows and also in shops and malls. Once the sign is no longer usage it can be disposed off easily. On the other hand, all parts of a synthetic display are potentially harmful and since they are used for close range promotions, the public and especially children might get in contact with them easily.

Modern eco-friendly signs are cheap, reusable and very classy, at the same time they cause no damage to the surroundings, thus providing a win-win situation for advertisers and their customers.

Drive More Sales with Point of Sale Displays

When you plan to designs a display symbol for your trade show or any sales exhibition, the most important thing that you require to do is make a proper plan. Planning is the main idea behind designing a display symbol. Along with a right plan, selection of right colors from a palette before using it over a poster board is also very important. Poster printing can be a bit costly and no one among us would like to spend huge amounts of money in reprinting because of a bad layout and certain mistakes.

Thus, making a right plan before designing symbols or any promotional materials would help in lessening the wastage of money, efforts and money involved in reprinting. The first important thing that you need to decide while designing point of sale displays is the main idea for which you are planning to design the poster. It includes what you want to convey to your customers through your poster. If you are having more than a topic to be featured on your poster then remember, customers will not have any interest in reading it.

If you want to consider nearly two to three points then you need to consider making large numbers of posters for them, each and every one focusing on a point which would be simple to understand. The next vital step is to sketch out a layout of the point of sale display on a paper. It is not the time when you start using the actual drawing board; you require sketching out different layouts with text and graphics in unique styles.  In order to seek opinion from others, show the sketches to them and finalize any one among them for display.

POS displays should consist of an attractive headline in order to focus people in a right way. Usually, a poster needs to have an introduction, title and a conclusion. There are many other things that you should decide while making a display symbol. These are the size of the font and color palette. If you are among those who are using the symbols for the first time, then taking suggestions from trade show designers will be very helpful. Any two colors will be sufficient to make a poster look attractive.

Using many colors on a single poster would make it look messy and the readers might find it difficult to read. Many of you might not know the fact that it is very easy to read dark texts on light background. While selecting a font, make sure that passers-by can easily read it from a distance. As the prices are increasing, the clients and businesses are becoming enthusiastic to spend money easily. Small business owners can easily manage to increase sales by utilizing tradition methods of advertising.

Another thing to consider while you choose display symbols is to find whether it is harmful for the environment or not. If you are really concerned about your surrounding, go for Eco friendly displays. These are made of such materials that won’t cause any harm to the surroundings.
